Dr. George D. Crenshaw- President

Rev. Crenshaw is the pastor of Shaw Temple AME Zion Church. A visionary leader, Dr. Crenshaw envisioned and established the Shaw Temple Biblical & Leadership Institute through divine inspiration. He has served 22 years in ministry as a pastor and 17 years as a presiding elder in the AME Zion Church.


Dr. Merchuria C. Williams- Academic Dean

Rev. Williams is an associate minister at Shaw Temple AME Zion Church. She has served on the national, state, and local levels as a public school educator. Dr. Williams is committed to excellence in ministry while fulfilling God’s call to nurture His people.


Dr. Carolyn Huff – Administrative Dean

Dr. Huff has been a leader and an advocate of quality Christian education for over 30 years. Thirty three years of experience as both a teacher and an administrator have prepared her for equipping the Kingdom of God to “study to show themselves approved” to minister to others. Dr. Huff is currently a local preacher at Shaw Temple.


Ms. Janice Mattison – Registrar

Ms. Mattison has five years of experience as a secondary school registrar along with many years as a high school educator. Her commitment to a Christ-centered life has compelled her to use her spiritual gifts for the edification of the Body of Christ. Ms. Mattison is on the Deaconess Board at Shaw Temple.
